Office Management
The Cembase Office Management (COM) module is the cornerstone of the Legacy Mark Cemetery Office Suite. It is the business package that is designed to manage the demanding needs of every cemetery manager. Since it first went into service in 1987 we have worked with our growing customer base to refine its operation and expand its capabilities to better serve the user. With components such as lot maps, deeds, inventory, locator tools, scheduler, interactive calendar, Windows word processor & endowment handling there is nothing Cembase cannot handle.
General System Features
- Supports Single Workstation and Multi-user Network installations, with integrated security password system.
- Uses industry standard and office language throughout the program to acclimate new users quickly.
- Integrated Context-Sensitive Help system. Press a button for specific help for the active screen and pop-up Info boxes appear with mouse pointer to explain the current selection. Very helpful for new users.
- A Pure Windows application with familiar menus and screens to make the software fast and easy to learn.
- Single Point of Entry: make a change in one area and the information is updated in the entire system.
- Streamlined Data Entry using newly redesigned screens, pull-down pick lists, improved editing features.
- Pick Lists on many data fields that are easy to use and easy to maintain for rapid, error-free data entry.
- Cembase is ODBC Compliant so access to the data from many different software programs is available.
Cembase Specific Features
- Tracks client, grave, sales data, funeral, military and endowment information for every client.
- Locate Clients by name, location, dates of birth/death, deeds, contract number, aliases, address, more…
- Lot Maps generate and print graphical layouts (shown at right) designating color-coded grave/marker arrangements, orientation and an interment chart with names/w dates.
- Integrated Office Tools: Flexible work/appt. scheduler, interactive calendar, calculator, Windows word processor, email to Legacy Mark, links to web page support…
- Inventory Utilities create and track cemetery-owned graves. Generate single graves, fill-in-the-blank graves for existing sections, and mass inventory for new sections.
- 30 User Defined Fields allow the user to customize the data that is tracked in Cembase making the database configurable to the specific needs of the user.
- Cembase Deeds is a customized, windows-based deed system built into the Cembase system. The user can create professional, customized deeds for each sale. Data from Cembase is automatically inserted into the deed form which can then be checked, edited and saved-to-disk before printing.
- Custom document preparation is readily available.
- Automatically tracks grave ownership history.
- Scores of Report Menu Selections create reports based on user-specified parameters. The entire reporting system has been simplified with onscreen report viewing, printing from the report viewer.
- Fully integrates with Legacy Mark's Cembase Cemetery Mapping system and Accounting system.
- Endowment System to track special care trusts for clients. Easily manages trust amounts, costs, interest, capital gains, task schedules, year-end distribution, etc…
- Automatically tracks clients to owners of deeds; Avoids manual grouping for client/owner relationships.
- Create Mailing Labels in a wide variety of Avery standards and groupings. Sort by 'alpha' or zip code.
- Flexible Client Coding System groups similar clients for reporting, mailing labels, and data analysis. Commonly used for Veterans, cremations, etc…
